Regulation of popular music International Festival-Contest

1. Section Execution. Conditions of participation

   1. Exponents or vocal duos participate.
   2. Age limit of participants is from 16 up to 40 years old.
   3. Candidates will present two musical compositions: one of the composer Ion Aldea-Teodorovici (obligatory), the second one is optional.
   4. In the framework of selection and at the contest, participants present musical compositions accompanied by orchestral magnetic or digital negative.
   5. Way of execution at the selection and contest is live.
   6. Foreign participants send for selection positive phonograms.
   7. Time of performance is maximum 10 min.
   8. Deadline of signing in is October 5, 2004.
   9. Application should be attached with: curriculum vitae, 2 shots 10x15, negative phonograms (for foreigners positive phonograms), copy of identity card or passport.
   10. Selection should take place on October 9, 2004, Chisinau, Bucuresti str., 68, birou 305.
   11. Final stage is on November 14, 1800.
   12. Gala of Laureates -- November 15, 1800.
   13. At the appreciation of rivals, jury should consider: - musical expression of compositions presented; subject and meaning of the message expressed by the author and exponent; vocal capacity and artistic level of execution; stage behaviour and ability to communicate with public.
   14. Organizers provide accommodation and meal for foreign rivals.
   15. Transport expenditures should be born on your own.




2. Section Composition

   1. Composers and authors without age limit participate. Creations proposed for contest should be presented till October 5, 2004 as an absolute premier. Time of composition is maximum 5 min.
   2. Set of materials for contest should contain as follows:
      - an envelope composition tracked on MD, CD, dactylographic text in two copies, where motto instead of title to recognize composition should be indicated, clavier or canto with harmony;
      - an envelope sealed with motto where real title of the composition should be contained, detailed information regarding author of music, lyrics and exponent; CV, composer's address and telephone number; copy of identity card or passport.
   3. Selection on October 9, 2004, 1000.
      Final stage is on November 14, 1800.
   4. Materials presented to Organization Committee should not be commented and restituted.
   5. Authors from republic should bear all transport expenditures on Festival, foreigners will be provided with accommodation and meal.




3. Jury of the Contest

   1. Each new Festival edition has another President.
   2. Appreciation should be based on the scale of 1 - 10 points.
   3. Rival, who has accumulated no less than 75% of mark 10, obtains Festival Trophy.




4. Awards

   1. Grand Prix (Trophy) - 7000 lei.
   2. I Award - 6000 lei.
   3. II Award - 5000 lei.
   4. III Award - 4000 lei.
   5. Organizers will award other special prizes offered by sponsors.
      Notice: 1. At the Section of Composition, Grand Prix should not be awarded.
      2. Awards should be allocated as follows: 65% goes to composer, 25% to author of the lyrics, 15% to exponent.
